Senior AI Scientist

Location: Finland in Helsinki or Tampere

We are looking for a Senior AI Scientist to design and implement innovative optimization and other AI solutions that help businesses stay ahead in today’s rapidly changing environment. In this role you will conduct research, develop, and deploy AI algorithms and models, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and deliver these solutions. 

You’ll jump right into customer projects to develop new models and algorithms in solutions that deliver real business value.  

What we expect 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A PhD is highly valued and considered an advantage but is not a strict requirement.
• Hands-on experience with AI and data science projects, ideally in a consulting environment
• Strong expertise in solving complex optimization problems using AI and mathematical techniques (e.g., combinatorial optimization, constraint programming, reinforcement learning, metaheuristic methods).
• Practical approach in developing machine learning solutions with modern technologies and tools
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for ML and optimization development
• Experience with common ML frameworks and tools like PyTorch, Scikit-learn and MLflow
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with modern software development process and technologies such as containers, microservices, and public cloud environments
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with peers
