Top AI expert joins Brillian: Tuomas Ropponen appointed as Chief AI Architect

Tuomas Ropponen, former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the publicly listed company Aiforia, joins Brillian as their new Chief AI Architect. Ropponen brings over a decade of experience in cutting-edge AI technologies, along with deep expertise in strategically enabling AI solutions in business and significant applications for society.
Strong background in advanced AI applications
Ropponen's career spans various AI applications across industries and medicine. Before joining Brillian, Ropponen served for eight years as CTO of Aiforia Technologies Plc, where he led technology strategy and the development of AI-driven solutions for healthcare imaging and diagnostics. His work includes extensive experience in successfully deploying AI models into production. Ropponen has also authored numerous international publications and patents related to AI applications, including an article in Nature Report.
Since 2023, Ropponen has also served as an AI Architect at the nutrition startup Metabite, where he has been applying large language models to digitize nutritional coaching. He will continue advising both Aiforia and Metabite in his new role at Brillian.
Additionally, Ropponen has industry experience from being a product manager at Outotec (now Metso), where he oversaw optimization platforms and industrial simulation solutions.
