Organizational AI transformation starts with the personal

AI transformation is a different kind of change compared to many. Where as many tech projects ’happen anyway’ – ERP is being implemented or CRM is taken into use, no matter the personal interest of a single expert. IT system projects are the kind of changes that are led in a given time frame and budget. Projects are implemented by fixed plans, resources and vendor networks.

AI transformation is fundamentally different. It needs crucial change on personal level. How to use new tools, learn new skills and find motivation to something completely new and unknown. For the same reason AI transformation is slow, and in many organizations non-existing.

How to build AI transformation in a consistent way?
  1. AI transformation is personal and practical: We all need to learn new ways of working, asking for advice, and organize everyday life. Leaders have to be engaged to this in the first wave. This work is operational, and challenges everyone of us.
  2. On team level we have to create ways to share experiences, both success stories and failures. Together learning how to be open to new and adjust the common goal. These common practicalities are agreed together and taken into use. This tactical level work is led by managers and implemented on unit and team level.
  3. On organizational level AI transformation needs common direction and decision-making: where we are headed and what we are focusing on? AI transformation can only be led when companiens have AI vision and strategic level ownership of AI. And this is what many organizations are missing.

AI transformation happens on all levels of organization. But it always starts on the personal. Or is left in the starting line and never takes off. Make sure that your own mindset is tuned into AI.

Brillian experts guide you and your organization to work on all these levels: asking the right questions, facilitating co-operation and defining AI vision. This all happens with people – who then build the AI transformation together.
